Laura Amador
Volunteer Coordinator, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco
Laura Amador is an artist and an arts administrator, a feminist, a Latina, and a friend and lover of all art forms.
Born in Miami, FL and raised in Rhode Island, Laura went to Boston University to earn her BFA in Painting with a minor in Art History. Soon after graduating she moved to the Bay Area for a job at the beautiful Djerassi Resident Artists Program in Woodside, CA. There she learned many lessons from the dynamic artists in residence, including the importance of process, experimentation, and openness.
She currently works at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco as the Volunteer Coordinator, where she organizes their volunteers to support these great museums. She continues to paint, sew, sketch, and dream.
