Ka Yan Cheung

Ka Yan Cheung is a cartoonist, a community organizer and a social movement activist. She came from a family of garment and restaurant workers, and watching my family members struggle each day moved her towards left politics. She spent eight years doing community and labor organizing in the Bay Area. As an artist, she aims to humanize the marginalized by sharing our stories.
