Gregory Stock Director of Public Affairs, Illuminate the Arts; EAP SF/BA EMERGENCE Convening Director
Gregory Stock has a dynamic range of experience in marketing, development and social media rooted in his passion for creating radical accessibility to art. As current EAP Emergence Program Director and previous EAP Fellow, he brings his event leadership to the forefront for the EAP network. He is the Director of Public Affairs for Illuminate the Arts, the organization behind The Bay Lights, a light sculpture currently on the west span of the Bay Bridge. ITA produces and promotes innovative contemporary public art with civic impact, social activation, and global reach that stimulates a culture of generosity, community, collaboration, and love. He spent the last three years as public programs educator at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, where his responsibilities included Friday Nights at the de Young, academic symposia and programs at the Legion of Honor. Other involvements include Arthaus Gallery, Art for AIDS and PapergirlSF. Interests include color theory, visual arts, digital tools, social enterprise and public art. He began his career with the Saint Louis Regional Arts Commission. Gregory received his undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University in American Studies and currently a candidate in the Design MBA in Strategic Foresight program at California College of the Arts.
